Something that I hope I never stop doing is LEARNING. Remember when going to classes in high school and college were such a chore? I missed those days. Looking back, I realized what a gift it is to be able to sit in a classroom and learn different subjects that I otherwise would not have been exposed to.
Now that I don’t have any required reading or projects to complete, I continuously try to keep myself stimulated in other ways.
PODCASTS, BOOKS, AND DOCUMENTARIES
These are all incredible resources to dive into when it comes to researching and learning more about whatever topics that interest you. For example, I recently became interested in cryptocurrency! I’m doing everything I can to learn more and become knowledgable in it. It’s important to get a grasp on the major trending topics taking over our nation and beyond.

WHAT TO LISTEN TO
The Tim Ferris Show – Tim Ferris is an incredible interviewer, asking questions that bring major figures we know and love, and making them relatable. He connects his interviews to his audience, bringing value when it comes to business and building a life you love. My recent favorite is his interview with Terry Crews (well-known from an all-time favorite movie, White Chicks!).
Tribe of Mentors – Tribe of Mentors is a based off of Tim Ferris’s new book, Tribe of Mentors. This podcast contains inspiration and advice from some of the most notable figures across industries business and sports. You’ll learn everything from finding your calm, how to say “no,” to diving into the unconscious mind.
WHAT TO READ
Called to Create – If you’re a Christian entrepreneur or creative, this book is a must-read! It’s changed the way I viewed business and entrepreneurship, teaching you how both work and faith go hand-in-hand. Think of God as the first entrepreneur — such a unique perspective on business from a biblical perspective! This one will help you develop the mindset to better serve your customers and community.
The Upstarts: How Uber, Airbnb, and the Killer Companies of the New Silicon Valley Are Changing the World – Want to learn how some of the largest companies in the world came to be? The Bay Area is known to be a hub for innovation and entrepreneurship. Written by senior executive editor, Brad Stone, from Bloomberg Tech, you’ll get an in-depth look into how the companies who at one point were introducing abstract ideas, have swept the world with its business models.
WHAT TO WATCH
Banking on Bitcoin – Cryptocurrency has been all the talk lately. Now, a ton of people are obsessed with investing in Bitcoin, ethereum, litecoin, and more, and having a digital wallet. If you’re new to cryptocurrency, this documentary is a good starting point. It’s truly fascinating to learn how Bitcoin came about and what it’s evolved into.
What the Health – I became health-conscious about three years ago, and became more selective about what foods I would consume. This documentary has received mixed feedback in terms of showcasing both sides of the story, but it’s definitely eye-opening, and will make you think twice about what you’re eating. Watch, and decide for yourself!
